LifeGroups Information

Connect. Learn. Serve.

LifeGroups offer a great environment to connect with new friends, learn about the Bible, and serve the community. Groups are typically made up of 15-20 people and run for 8-12 weeks. It's a short-term commitment and at the end of each semester, you will have the opportunity to stay in the same group, join a new group, or even take a break. Try it out!

LifeGroup FAQ

What is the difference between LifeGroups and traditional Bible study groups?
LifeGroups are short-term groups (usually 10-12 weeks) designed around a topic or shared interest.  After the semester ends, groups take a break for a month and then restart during the next semester.  While some groups do study the Bible together, others are geared more towards fellowship within the context of shared activities.  Our goal with all of our small groups is to help people connect with one another and grow in their relationship with Christ.

Why do you do semester-based groups?
Due to weather patterns, the economy, and the nature of our service industry, Palm Beach County tends to be a fairly transient culture.  Furthermore, we have a large number of young families that operate on a semester-like rhythm of life (school, sports, etc).  Rather than fighting this natural rhythmic pattern, we decided to try to capitalize on it for the benefit of new people who are not accustomed to a more traditional small group model.  This works for several reasons: 1) It provides easy “on and off ramps” for new people to try out a small group without having to commit forever.  2) People are now able to move between groups as their needs and seasons of life change. 3) It allows us to multiply leadership as more people are able to try their hand at leading a group for a short period of time.  Plus, for those who desire it, we still offer incredible ongoing Bible study groups on Sunday mornings.

How do I join a group?

  1. At the beginning of each term, we pass out a LifeGroups list with all of the group options listed.  Simply fill out a “Get Connected” card in any service, mark your desired group, and drop it in the offering plate.
  2. Sign up online by searching our LifeGroups List
  3. Just show up at the group!
