My name is Jimmy Scroggins, and I have the great privilege of serving as the Senior Pastor of the First Baptist Church. In a culture where it’s difficult to develop relationships, our desire is to create an environment where people can get connected through worship, engage in a small group Bible study, and find a fulfilling place to serve.

What to expect
Gathering together for a time of worshipping God is the highlight of the week at First Baptist. If you are new to the area, traveling or looking for a church home we encourage you to be our guest. We've developed this section of our website to answer some questions you may have and to help you feel more comfortable as you come on our campus.

Worship Style
Through our choir, orchestra and dynamic praise team you’ll experience an amazing time of worship directed to God Himself. The music ministry of First Baptist seeks to lead and facilitate a worshipful environment for those who are in attendance each week.

What should I wear?
At First Baptist we encourage you to come as you are. In case you are wondering, most people attend wearing business-casual attire. Don't be surprised if you see very few suits and ties, as well as people wearing jeans. God sees our heart and that's what He cares about; it's not about the style of clothing we choose.

What about my kids?
Childcare is provided for Birth-4years at First Baptist on Sundays. This enables parents to attend both a worship service and Bible Class. For children five and older a Bible class is provided for them when you are attending yours. We offer a safe environment and secure facility with security officers present.

To complete your step in membership join a First Connection Class.

Attending this class is required for membership. You will learn how we express worship through what we believe and practice, and how to get connected through small groups and service. You will take a tour of the facilities and see all the ministry areas as well as learn the history of our church and the vision that has moved us through the years.
